YouDriveOnline is backed by the 101 year old Pohanka Automotive Group…the oldest, continuously-operating family-run dealership group in the Washington DC Metro. The Pohanka story is an interesting one. Our founder, Frank S. Pohanka ran away from his Bronx home at an early age. It wasn’t long before he became a stable boy on Long Island and eventually became a successful jockey. His high-speed jockeying career eventually transitioned into a career as a successful GM mechanic and service representative. Never one to rest on his accomplishments, in 1919 Frank opened his first dealership and service center in Washington D.C. That one dealership has since grown to a network of 20 dealerships in Maryland, Virginia Delaware and Texas.
